The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require that any electrical equipment that has the potential to cause injury is maintained in a safe condition.
The frequency of inspection and testing .
The person doing testing work needs to competent to do it. In many low-risk environments, a sensible (competent) member of staff can undertake visual inspections if they have enough knowledge and training. However, when undertaking combined inspection and testing, a greater level of knowledge and experience is needed, and the person will need:
- the right equipment to do the tests
- the ability to use this test equipment properly
- the ability to properly understand the test results depends upon the type of equipment and the environment it is used in. For example, a power tool used on a construction site should be examined more frequently than a lamp in a hotel bedroom.
Rheidol engineers are fully trained to undertake all your PAT testing requirements, compile electronic registers and undertake all repairs as required. All minimum or maximum quantity's undertaken just ask for a free quotation.
Electrical Inspection Condition Report
Every electrical installation deteriorates with use and time. Therefore, if the safety of the users is not to be put at risk, it is important that every installation is periodically inspected and tested. The main purpose of the periodic inspection and testing is to detect so far is reasonably practicable, and to report on any factors impairing or likely to impair the safety of the electrical installation.
All our engineers are competent to the current BS7671 requirements and we can carryout the inspection in a manner to minimise any disruption to the end user. Upon completion of the inspection, a detailed electronic certificate will be compiled highlighting any departures or concerns the inspector may have or have found, using were practical photographic evidence. Upon completion, the inspector will forward their findings and recommendations to the responsible person (the person who requested the inspection) and discuss any concerns the client may have.
A EICR is a means of partial evidence that the responsible person/employer has carried out their responsibilities in line with the Electricity At Work Act and Duty of Care.

Rheidol Electrical Services are a Government approved OLEZ Installer for Electric Vehicle charger points for Home and Workplace installations. The majority of EV owners will require charging stations to be installed at their home or place of work thus allowing for the EV charging to be undertaken during hours of the day/night when energy is in abundance and therefore up to 75% cheaper than normal making vast savings to the EV owner. Using our expertise we can (subject to your approval) apply for the vast amount of government assisted grant funding that is available to put towards the cost of your charger installation. At Rheidol Electrical Services, we have the expertise and Knowledge to carry out a safe and efficient installation.

Approved for Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS).The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is Government funded scheme that provides support to businesses wishing to have electric vehicle charge points installed at their work premises. The WCS is a voucher-based scheme that contributes up to £350 towards the upfront costs of charge point purchase and installation. It is managed by the Government OLEV department (Office for Low Emission Vehicles).

The prices on our website are a rough guide to help you choose a product that best suits your budget. This is the minimum cost for any installation, but your final quote will depend on a number of factors including:
- Cable length - how much extra cable is required to connect your charger to the mains.
- Extra equipment - some installations require extra protective equipment such as a Type A RCBO and/or earth rod installations.
- Complexity - depending on the cable route and other factors, our in-house technicians will assess how much time and labour is required to complete the installation.
- Height; if the cable installation has to be installed above 2.5mtrs above ground level specialist working platforms may have to be included in the cost.
- Availability of Good customers Wifi/4G connection at the Charger position.

A centre piece lake has been constructed with two water fountains and fish to make the visit for the residents in the warmer weather really enjoyable. All new corrosive resistant Lamppost lighting and low level Led Bollard post lights have been installed around the entire perimeter. The interior of the Café has been wired to allow simple snake food cooking with Hot & Chilled beverages. Entertainment is provided by TV & Music facility's. Specialist W.C facility's have been provided and connected. Rheidol engineers were responsible for all the general lighting & power, Emergency Lighting and intruder alarm installations.
